If I could accessorize my entire apartment with wine crates I probably would. Wine crates are so classic and old world looking, with endless DIY possibilities. So, over the weekend I decided to test out my green thumb and plant an herb garden in…you guessed it, a wine crate! Read below for instructions to make the most impressive wine crate herb garden you could imagine.
What you need:
Soil
Gloves
Electric Drill
Herbs of your choice (I used rosemary, basil, parsley and sage)
Here’s how:
First, drill holes in the bottom of the wine crate for drainage.
Then pour soil into the box 2/3 of the way full.
Carefully pull the herbs out of the package, and roll the root ball in between your hands to loosen the roots.
Dig a small hole in the soil, place the plant into the hole, and pack in the soil around the base of the plant.
Repeat until all of your herbs are planted!
